so 6 months and 22k km mostly positive but I've got a weird thing happening
when it's above 25 degrees and I've been sitting in traffic, sometimes there's a faint burning plastic smell from inside the cabin. it's brief, maybe 10-15 seconds, and then it goes away.
it's happened 4 times total. the car runs perfectly fine after. no warning lights. no codes.
I googled it and saw some posts from Australian BYD owners about a similar thing related to the AC compressor getting hot in traffic and circulating briefly before the thermal management kicks in. but those were older threads.
has anyone experienced this? going to the dealer next week but wanted to see if there's context first.
