zeekr x vs byd dolphin — which one for vancouver city driving

okay this might be a weird comparison because they're pretty different cars but hear me out

I'm deciding between these two for purely urban Vancouver use. downtown kitsilano. maybe 40km/day. underground parking in my building with L2 charger.

Zeekr X: slightly bigger, MUCH nicer interior, costs $6k more, the sound system is genuinely audiophile level, handles better

BYD Dolphin: more range, cheaper, BYD brand support is more established in Canada, rotating screen is fun, the app (despite its bugs) has more features

I've test driven both. I slightly prefer the feel of the Zeekr but the Dolphin's practicality is hard to argue with.

anyone driven both? what would you do with my specific situation?

with L2 at home and 40km/day you will NEVER feel any range anxiety with either car. the range spec basically doesn't matter for you. so the decision is purely: which do you want to sit in every day.

the sound system difference is real and underrated. if you listen to music in the car (which in Vancouver traffic you will), the Zeekr's audio is in another class

BYD service network advantage is meaningful long-term. but Zeekr service is coming from the same company so it should grow at similar pace. not a dealbreaker.
